I am Melisa Tutku Ozdemir, an experienced User Experience Designer specializing in fintech and digital products. Currently, I work as a digital product designer and dabble in front-end development with the title of User Experience Specialist at Ziraat Teknoloji.
While working in the IT sector and being immersed in the front-end field, I started exploring the world of front-end development. I personally coded the website you are currently on from scratch, using only HTML and CSS. I'm continuing to develop JavaScript enhancements for my website.

I was responsible for welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations. I was also responsible for overseeing and leading the work of my colleagues.
I was directly responsible for climbing wall, operating bungee trampoline, summer tubing, zip line and all amusement devices. I operated point of sale, answered phones, accurately took phone reservations and payment.
I developed an API service, sent fetch requests, utilized promises, async/await functions, we worked on functional libraries like Lodash and Ramda, and throughout the course we learned many JavaScript concepts.
During my approximately 2.5-month front-end journey, I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React programming languages. The outcome of the two-module course was my website!
I am a member of the international community in order to reinforce my current knowledge from experts in the User Experience field and to learn different methods and approaches.
During the training, we covered "In-depth Interviews", "Usability Testing", "SUS Test", "Netnography Studies", "Affinity Mapping", and "Benchmark", and I applied these methods to real-world projects. You can review them in my portfolio.
Me and my team are participating in Technology for Humanity ,Teknofest 2021 under Disabled Friendly category. We are designing an exoskeleton for people who have lover limb paraplegia. The exoskeleton is an electrical wearable body assistant for performing the tasks of level walking, stair ascending and descending, sit-to-stand transfer and walking. It provides complete mobilization of the lower limbs.
Domus Academy is an institution ranked highly by prestigious magazines and opinion leaders. Every year Academy organizes a competition, from all over the world people are participating in this competition and Domus Academy gives scholarships to the top ranked. I was ranked 4th all over the world, only Turkish student who got scholarship, and I was awarded with a scholarship and honorable mention.
The business idea is a system design that aims to upcycle organic waste in general. WEUSE is a channel through the upcycle of existing organic wastes, which are already accumulated. The system beneficial for the economic environment.
The design challenge was a competition operated by Autodesk and Ford Otosan. It was asked to design a scooter which works with an electric motor. The design should fulfil the criteria identified by Ford Otosan. I was responsible for designing of the scooter on CAD and planning the process. Me and my team won the competition with our innovative design.
